O goody, a crocs meme!
Actually I only have LIDL garden clogs (green), which I have been known to wear in public, but mainly in the garden. (it has beeen commented that I must be posh to have clogs which are specifically for the garden). I have always worn clogs, and have sevral pairs of (fake) Birkentocks, so I slightly sneer at the current Croc fad, but it is nice to seee lall those brightly-coloured feet.
The children also have garden clogs and Joy lives in her Pink (Next) crocs, which her dad bought even though he didn't like them. I had to make sure she didn't wear them to the climbing wall today but she has been on a rather long hike with school in them, when i forgot to check and only reallised as the bus was pulling out and i was mouthing "you can't go in those shoes!"
I think we are past the princess phase, but we do often find ourselves out in public dressed in a way which can provoke comments like "my, you lot look...colourful...". Today, in Peter Pan, AKA pirate, pants, Freddie said, on our way out: "these trousers are...NICE."

I don't own any crocs and did feel a little left out of the freely draining of puddle water style of footwear camping fashion however my nice warm dry leather boots did stirling service at camp (cos I don't own wellies either - they don't make them for little feet joined to fat legs you see....)

Aprilia has flounced round in princess style dresses regularly, I assume she will grow out of it one day? Maybe?

:D
I have *almost* worn a tiara out in public. not on purpose though.

The onyl things I have ever made Emma change were ones that were too far from seasonally appropriate (shorts in hypothermia weather for example) or to revealing, like the Tinkerbell outfit she wanted to go shopping in. Same woudl go for a bathing suit.

otherwise, anything else is fair game. people usually love seeing a fairy princess shopping.

I live in Hawaii, and besides "slippahs" (known as flip-flops in the rest of the world), crocs are probably the most worn shoes around. In every color - I've never seen so many bright feet in my life. It's funny, when we moved here, apparently the croc craze had just started. I assumed it was simply an island thing, but I'm told by friends on the mainland that they are just as popular there.

Mine are dark blue slippers, combining the best of both worlds. ;-)
