The leaflet with the repellers says that "Usually the effect will be seen within two weeks", which I found a bit disappointing when I read it. However, the amount of "sign" we have of infestation seems much reduced. Less noise from the skittering around in floor and wall cavities, less little black presents around the place. So, yes, it seems to be working. Bear in mind I have been having no success at all with traps lately. SO it is pretty encouraging.....so far.

Now I won't have that! You can get any number of tasteful pieces such as a ring with 'NAN' on it (perfect for leaving your mark when punching someone), a pair of necklaces with BE FRI on one and ST END on the other and your gen-u-ine cubic zircona engagement rings for under twenty quid to show much you care from the Elizabeth Duke range in Argos.

Don't really get the Argos=trashy thing? It's nearly always the cheapest place, you go along, order it and pay (always use the machines), wait for a while reading a paper or talking to a child, and then collect it. It's not like they give you a crappier version of it, or have flock wallpaper and strippers in there. I quite like Argos for its lack of pretension and wanky "Can I help you?" floor staff. And you can take stuff back again, no questions asked.

Obviously, if you're buying *jewellery* in there the above does not apply ;-)

Your mice have cables? :-)

I think they use different frequencies to repel different animals - they do suggest that it is a bad idea to use them if you have pet guinea pigs, hamsters, mice and gerbils, but I don't think it mentioned rabbits. You can get the same type of thing tuned especially to deter cats, although I find a water pistol works for that. :-)

I agree with you about Argos being trashy.

Yep, thumbs up to Wilco's here, and I always think of Argos as somewhere you will probably get the cheapest price, if they've got what you're looking for, (but it does always seem a bit trashy somehow!).
And those rodent repellers- do you have to leave the doors open and watch them filing out? I don't think our rabbits would like them, somehow. I've tried starving the cat, as someone suggested she must be overfed. My friend puts all her food in baskets and hangs them from the ceiling! (very rustic). Our mice don't seem to need much food and are contented nibbling on tea-towels, but I expect there are enough food scraps dropped under the table to keep them going forever. As long as they stay on the floor they are a lot less bothersome than the pet rabbits and dont chew through mouse-cables ;-)

I think the prices are the same via Homebase or Argos.

Not like you to be sexist. :-)
