Forgot to blog that recently I’ve been doing quite well in competitions. There was the day of raffle prizes
, plus a cd from songpeople (can’t find the post where I mentioned that, but I’m sure I did). I’ve also had a copy of Mrs Beeton’s Book of Household Management (Oxford World’s Classics) from BBC Four and a 5 user license for extreme planner from javaranch.
All of this means that I’ve been rather taken with the competition bug – I’ve spent a reasonable amount of time this afternoon seeking out online questions and answering them, registering for all sorts of bizarre sites. I really ought to be tracking it better I suppose – it’s like all those surveys and paid to read email scams where it works out that you are earning next to nothing ever if I spend hours and hours signing up for competitions and only win once a year.
Still, it’s a pretty good thrill to open a competition winner email or parcel – and I already spend hours just surfing idly

I had a year in which I won a jetski, a ps2, and a year’s supply of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. That was fun
I’ve pretty much given up on competitions these days though …
have we not won that trip to paris yet then? Or wherever it was ! Well done anyway!
that would be nice wouldn’t it Kirsty? I think it was Paris.
Sarah, that sounds a fair bit better than a book, a cd and a piece of software!
