I’m fairly sure I know what the problem is - it’s the bit where you skip stitches as you go to do the second side. It seemed if I skipped 23 as advised that there wouldn’t be enough stitches left to do the next row.
And like I said, the gauge is incredibly off!
If I can figure out what the pattern is supposed to do for that skipping bit, I think what I’d do is redo the bit I’ve done wrong, give this version to my daughter as a purse, and redo it for myself the right size
I do like the way the patterning works, and it didn’t take very long to do, maybe 3 hours so far?
