    The Sony manual is dreadful, I had to Google to find out how to switch off the predictive typing thing (it aeems to work in a language I am unfamiliar with)

    I’ve still not worked out how to disable **** predictive text on mine! And no idea what that pic is meant to be, sorry!

    If you have Sony you have to hold down the * key to turn off predictive text.

    And I have been surfing the ring from our living room while playing chess this afternoon. :)

    It looks like a phone receiver with an arrow bouncing off it … so a missed call? Or one that didn’t get through? Is there any context, or are you just randomly guessing? :)

    He says it appeared for a while at the top of the screen. Your suggestion sounds pretty plausible to me.

    Yeah, that’s missed call. If you go to ‘calls’ you should get them listed.
