icNewcastle Tragedy of the mother who loved life

I missed part of the weekend party, as I was away up in Durham at a funeral. This funeral. icNewcastle Tragedy of the mother who loved life

Slightly surreal seeing family that I hadn’t seen for quite some years in such difficult circumstances, not helped by a restless night and a very early start. The church was packed - there were ppl standing outside listening to the service on speakers.

Two of my sisters went up with me, we all went back to our aunt’s house afterwards. I used to see my cousins and aunt occasionally when I lived up north - I lived in the next village along from them. My sisters haven’t lived up there, and aren’t familiar with the ways of small villages, and it was a tough day for us all.

:( Funerals of that sort are just so sad; hope you get back into one piece as soon as is right for you.

I’m sorry. She looks so lovely and was obviously an angel. What a beautiful smile.
