Further analysis from The Register, reading the political signals and finding encouraging things. The Children's Database? Isn't that the Tesco Clubcard baby & toddler club thing? Funny how government has a hard time implementing Big Brother, but Big Business does it with worrying efficiency.

Bwa ha haa!

You can see why MPs like kicking civil servants, when they go and spoil good policies with irrelevant details like reality. I wonder how much money will be sunk into this before they realise it won’t work? I should tone down the cynicism and be grateful that at least there’s hope now.
