I guess it'll take a while longer of all this rain to make up for the rainless months we've just had! Hope you have safe journeys though, heavy rain makes for grim driving conditions :(

I was a bit shocked he decided it was the way to go. I definitely think that wind/solar energy are better alternatives for a start. I think though that this might be the end of the labour party in govt.

Chernobyl would be the only reason you'd need to say no, imnsho! I don't give a monkeys how great the technology is these days, there will always be risks, and you don't take chances with that stuff, full stop, end of story.

Plus the fact that it doesn't give us a quick solution to our energy problems, will be ridiculously expensive and totally the wrong direction for the planet. Far better to give us all our own mini energy generation systems - wind turbines/solar panels/geothermal blah blah, scrap the duty on biodiesel, oh the possibilities are endless, but oh dear, they also mean we become less dependant on government & big business...

Obviously any opinion against is futile though, tony has decided it's a goer so we shall get it whether we like it or not.
