J uses the Exeter maths books too, I like them because they stretch him, he just runs through the normal math books for his age (are they 'much maligned' just by Big or by other home edders?). I've always done it, (worked from home) but until then it was either a middle-of-the-night thing, or Bob was around, or I paid a teenager to play with her while I worked. Now, while I wouldn't dream of working all day with no one around for her, I can do my two hours every morning, and it's no hassle.
