I queued for 25 minutes today, listening to Air on a G string and Greensleeves on a loop, at top volume, having pressed about 30 buttons to get that far in the first place, to be told the same thing. I suggested to them in that case, maybe their answer machine should just say "don't wait for a customer representative, as we won't be able to help you. Call back in 12 hours" So then *he* hung up on *me*. And I even said it in a really polite voice. Argh!
