I fell asleep once standing up with my eyes open. It was a bizarre experience, especially when I was woken up by a cow breathing down the back of my neck.

Come over one day next week and we’ll decend on Nikki and do crochet whilst the kids run riot in her garden (It’s a tad safer than mine at the mo)

Sleep deprivation is hideous. I am grumpy and miserable when I don’t get enough sleep - so I think I was both for about three years. (D says I wasn’t ALL the time…) But now they are both old enough to sleep all night and please themselves in the morning - it will come in the end!

Hope you get some more sleep soon. My best trick is to put on a programme or film they like and fall asleep bolt upright on the sofa - hoping they don’t notice.

Some gorgeous patterns on that angelyarns site, really drooling now. Will have a look at knitty - there are knit to crochet converters out there

I saw some patterns for sale that were crocheted here: http://www.angelyarns.com/yarn/patterns-kits.php which just added to the ‘I really must learn to crochet’ feeling I’ve been having lately!

aw, we have that ‘I have nothing to do’ thing here too. Or I’m bored, which is even worse. I’m sure I’ve said this before but my mother used to have this phrase “your boredom is an expression of your own inability to amuse yourself”, which I trot out regularly. It seems to baffle them for long enough that they shut up whinging for a bit at least.

“Big has just informed me that she has nothing to do.”
Oh this sounds so familiar….Yet small person has the largest room in the house plus a summerhouse all of her own. She has 2 pc’s, a ps2, books galore and goodness what else. So how come she gets bored? I have no idea but basically it means she wants my attention (and usually when she knows she can’t have it).

Done that as well, on more than one occasion My mum always said that if we had too many toys etc to play with, we didn’t know what to do. So she used rotate our toys etc (dunno how often cos I never ever noticed!) and that way we were never bored.

Have a lie down for me will ya as I’ve had a heachache for 6 days now which is bordering on killing me
