Everyone should have friends

like Sarah and Kris :)

Regular readers have probably noticed a lack of energy and general buzz to this blog of late, and I daresay nobody has noticed me withdrawing from list life, but I’ve done that too. I’ve been struggling to get myself motivated to do anything much really, so Sarah and Kris came around to help me blitz the garden. And blitz we did, after eating the lunch stuff that Sarah brought with her. :)

The mound of bindweed and brambles quailed before the joint assault of two azadas - Kris used one to strip off the living stuff, and I used the pointy one to take out the root layer. I *hate* bindweed, so filling a bucket with the roots was quite satisfying. And the children were well and truly socialised as well, so that was good ;)

Managed to fit in a couple of sound games with Small - he seemed to quite like playing with Kris’s F alongside, which was rather nice. And it was lovely to have understanding company when I got a less than positive call back from the agency about Monday’s job. Hohum. Shame, I really liked the company, and I know I can do the job. But I haven’t worked with threads, and they felt that was a big area of difficulty for me - going so far as to ask whether you could be a professional programmer without encountering them. I replied I’d managed for several years, which may not have endeared me further ;)

You win some, you lose some.

After we’d gardened we retired to the house and Kris contined with her string bag making (apparently she started this last night - I was well impressed!) I finally started making crochet Hesfes hats with my newest ebay purchase of a *large* crochet hook, and Kris had a quick lesson as well. Tim took piccies, which he may or may not share….

Quiet evening, I’ve been putting a bit of work in on the bookbag order form system, hopefully going live at a puddlers site near you very soon. And that’s pretty much it.

We had a lovely day. Looks like we picked the right one for it too - wouldn’t fancy gardening today, tbh.

And I’m going to buy me a huge crochet hook and some of that fabulous wool too. :)

So glad you have friends near you when you really need them.

Doing somethign with an obvious instant result is always really good for me and my down times (hence the cleaning!), I am just about to attack Buzz’s room as this has been really getting me down and I to am far too sluggish atm.

    Hold that positive feeling.

hugs for general crappiness. You are always welcome to escape to ours if you need to - though there are loads of weeds here too!! At least we could share wine and the girls would run riot.

    what are threads?

Had noticed you being quiet but then lots of people have been quieter recently. And you’ve had a lot going on with interviews etc. Sending hugs for it all, anyway.

Would come and garden too if I were a little closer, then again if you’d seen the state of my own garden recently you might not want any help from me!

Just wanted to join in the general glum-ness to agree it must be in the air - I’m feeling crap too. Can’t blog about it because DH reads that (and D doesn’t stand for Dear). Think I might have to get a secret blog. Hope the positive action in the garden helps you feel better Jax.

I want 2 of those lovely bags! There’d be fights otherwise. A day nattering, digging and scrabbling about looking for worms, ants etc was lovely, thanks.

Hugs, you are welcome here anytime - dig the tent out, we have a campsite nearby! Job hunting is so not fun, especially when you get cr*p and unfair feedback. And had to smile at Small discovering the joys of communication but hope you get some sleep v soon!
