Didn’t get it.

Not in a good mood now. :(

Oh, and the basket weaving kits haven’t arrived, and the store owner is now denying that I mentioned any kind of deadline or that there is any tracking number attached, so I’ve no idea where they are. Sorry all - will try the sorting office in the morning, but it’s not looking good :(

ETA - have located cane supplies shop on way to Lowestoft, who is now expecting me to call to pick up basket weaving stuff tomorrow. We will weave!

Oh, bugger the basket weaving, and bugger them as well. What sort of interviews have you been getting - are they tachnical, or competence based interviews ie ” this job demands that you can show XX. Tell me about a time when you demonstrated this?” If the latter, and you want any coaching on it, I’ve got a lot of experience in competency based interviews, as they are the “in” thing atm. Not that it did me any good obviously ;-/, but the one thing they did say was that I was good at interview - they just didn’t want me.

    Thanks all.

Bit of both Joyce - so if you could take me through the competency thing, I’d be very grateful. Although they said I didn’t get the job because they weren’t sure about team fit - I have some thoughts about that I shall share in a more personal environment.

Onwards and upwards…have bought new domain name this afternoon, and have new back of envelope business plan. We will prosper!

Blah. Team fit. Did they Myer’s Brigg’s you? Or maybe Herrman? If not, probably something in the competency questions they didn’t like. (probably not clear from my posting, my experience of them is mainly as a recruiter, rather than an interviewee)

Not Myer’s Brigg - they asked me whether I thought I was a starter/motivator or completer/ finisher - really accurate way of making a judgement. Oy vey.

Well, have some of the hugs you were offering me earlier - also wish I could comiserate in person with huge bottle of wine. Sod the lot of them and have a good holiday.

Looking forward to hearing the back of envelope plan sometime.

If those supplies ever arrive from the States, I’ll have a bunch off you for our trip next month - will have 9 little girls to occupy!

And we can do the rest at Bradway one week.

Is your preference red or white? I do have a fridge… :-D
