I was up very late last night, and then early this morning, as I wanted to dash to Lidl for one of these . Small got some money for his birthday and I’d been drooling over the expensive version – when I saw this for so much less I couldn’t resist. Was worried that there would be loads of ppl after them, but there was no one else showing any interest – suspect in a week or so they might even be reduced further (at which point I may get another for Big 
as she appears to have purloined Small’s!).
Also got Tim a camp bed – we’re trying to work out the best way for him to come on some of our camping breaks this summer. So back here sometime after ten, and the day seemed to evaporate in providing food, drink, trying to catch up on the washing, washing up, ballet lesson, more puter games.
Big seems to very much enjoy her ballet, but I am wondering what is going on there. Small and I were out in the hall, and I heard the teacher say “Big you can jump higher than everyone else because you’re bigger” and that is becoming painfully obvious – she towers over these tiny children she is in a class with, and I don’t know why. Trying to nerve myself up to ask about her progress, but the bottom line is that she enjoys it, and while she enjoys it, she gets to keep going.
Small was a little so and so tonight – very tired, but utterly determined not to go to sleep. I’ve had lovely evenings with him recently, singing him to sleep, but tonight he pulled my hair, kicked me, hit me and then fell over on purpose, headbutting me in the process. It hurt. Tim took over and did the singing to sleep bit that took minutes. Grrr.
And now I’m going to bed myself – I’m bushed. Night all.

I saw the wooden bike thing earlier this week and thought of you! And then forgot to mention it all week, lol. Hmm, if you reckon they’re not that popular maybe I should pop round in the morning and see if I could be tempted

She never seems that huge to me – I reckon you must just have stunted children round your way – dodgy water or something …
Hey, I got one of those, too! It was too big for A, so we bumped it up to full hight and it’s fine for F, who is a tall 4 3/4, who bikerides with stabilisers, so I thought it would be good practice and he loves it.

Um, she is fairly big you know – she’s on 91 st percentile. I forget how young she is, is that what is going on? Small however is a bit stunted I think – having been born somewhat huge, he’s only about 75 th percentile now
I’m pondering putting the bike up size wise, although I think it will still be too small for her really, but she adores it. And it’s going to be too big for Small for quite a while. They are great though, aren’t they Rosie?

Pip’s a 25th-er and Titch is a 91st-er (down from pre-weaning 98th) so at current trends Titch will be mistaken for the older sister in a few years.
I like the bike- is it without peddals? Think that might be cool for Titch as she’s currently using a bike with stablisers but can’t do much on it.

Think we might put ours up a setting and by the end of summer Small might *just* be big enough, and Big will be ready for a real bike, hopefully without stabilisers.

Went to Lidl’s this morning! My only criticism is that it doesn’t turn very well. Okay for learning to balance in straight lines, bit of a bummer if you have to go round a close, though. Josiah’s not at all sure about it yet, but I quite like it. And since when is learning to balance *not* educational?!!!!
