Bother

The batteries are flat in the camera again. Or too flat for me to pull the piccies off, which means I can’t show you all what arrived in the post today. You’ll just have to wait ;)

Anyway, pretty good day today. Made it to the group at Chesterfield, which was pretty much OK, although I did have to speak to one little boy who kept kicking the football out of Small’s hands! Eventually his mother had a word and he stopped it then. I took two foam footballs, but there were still ordinary footballs in the room - I know I’m paranoid, but I do find that difficult. Hohum.

We were there for a good two and a bit hours - Big made a snowman, and played with Barbara’s B, and ignored Sarah’s Dino. Small pottered. :-)

Shopped on the way home, and picked up a Christmas present for Small. There you go, I’ve started shopping! Had to stop for petrol, and he managed to fall asleep while I was filling up, even though I did pay at pump :(

Once we got home, definitely time to veg with some cbeebies. Oh, and there was that parcel….ok, I couldn’t resist. I went and found you some batteries. New skirt sitting down There are some piccies that fit in previous posts as well, so you might want to scroll down.

Balancing!Look like anyone you know Merry? Or how about in this one?

Keep forgetting to mention Tim’s new routine with Big on an evening. After her bath, he does her bedtime story. Before the bedtime story he brushes her hair. While he’s doing that, she’s taken to playing on the computer - using Photoshop. Well, she’s definitely picking up something from it - when she typed her name in an ecard form yesterday, she didn’t have to ask where any of the letter are any more.

She just looks *so* grown up in that skirt! Anna does when she wears hers as well - we will have to make sure we align pink skirt wearing days at Melrose … !!

What Lije is wearing one too?
Tarly has one (although not cord and not that long as she is clumsy enough already without trip hazzard garments), and I also have a long pink cord skirt (Tescos again funnily enough!) which I shall wear for the duration of Melrose :-)

Lovely pics btw - what does Big *do* on photoshop? Does she play with photos or something else?

Big does whatever she wants on Photoshop, but basically she doodles. She started off just using it like paint, but she has started asking what all the other buttons do and we have started to explore them. She is also learning some keyboard shortcuts,Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C etc, and last night i showed her some of the effects. She liked the shiney metal effect version of her name, but I don’t know how far she is going to want to go with exploration yet, nor whether she will actually start to use much of what she is being shown. I am going to have to find out precisely what all of the tools do if she is going to ask me about them, so that is a plus I suppose.

Spooky! Or, if its Ammi saying it, “booky!”

The green cylinder is for Kirsty btw!

Fran played on QuarkXpress at my dads - and learned percentages from it!

I did wonder about the cylinder…guess I’d better find it again then, as Small did a runner with it earlier! lol
